Samjades built the BeamDeflect app (com.samjades.beamdeflect) as a free utility tool. This SERVICE is provided by Samjades at no cost and is intended for use as-is.

1. Information Collection and Use

For a better experience while using our Service, BeamDeflect may require you to provide certain information, including locally stored measurement notes and structural deflection parameters. The information that we request will be retained on your device and is not collected by us in any external cloud database.

2. Camera Permission and AR Viewfinder

BeamDeflect features an Augmented Reality (AR) camera viewfinder used to measure structural beam deflection.

  • Local Processing: Camera feeds are processed entirely in real-time locally on your device hardware to assist with alignment and measurements.

  • No Storage or Transmission: We do not record, store, save, or transmit your camera video streams or photos to external servers. Your camera stream is strictly used for live visual calibration on your screen.

3. Third-Party Advertising (Google AdMob)

To keep BeamDeflect free, the app uses Google AdMob to display banner advertisements. AdMob may collect and use data regarding your device identifiers, IP address, and interaction with ads to serve personalized or non-personalized advertisements.

  • Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this and/or other apps on the Internet.

4. Local Data Storage

All structural calculations, span lengths, measured sags, and location notes entered into the app are stored locally on your device storage. You maintain total control over your data.

These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age.
